Oh NO!!!

Mommy thought she would take the easy way out after a very long day BUT that didn't happen. We were going to get salads at Cafe Rio and then we were going to eat and play at the park with friends. Until... Jaron fell from the high chair and broke his arm really well. We dropped Jaxon off to our friends at the park and raced up to the hospital where daddy was waiting to help us. It was a terribly long night but Jaron was so brave. His left arm was bent a good 2-3 inches to the left and there was no doubt that it was broken.

They had to give him a lot of medicine to get him to sleep so they could reset his arm. Then he woke up very quickly, before they were done setting his cast. We are hoping that they won't have to reset it on Wednesday when we go to the fracture clinic to get his real cast. Oh the fun we have sometimes.

Shopping with mom...

is such hard work. Sleeping boys are a breeze when we are running errands. It doesn't happen too often though.

Fun with friends!

It has been a little strange getting used to Jaxon being gone all day long at school. So we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and go to the park with our friends. There is just not enough time in the day with soccer, homework and school to go to the park very often.

I just have to write down some of the funny things Jaron has said this week. He has been telling jokes and trying to make people laugh, but the funniest things just slip out. Earlier this week when we were at the hospital getting some tests run for Jaxon he saw the xray and said "Look mom he has a piano in him!" It was so cute and the xray tech laughed too. They had never heard that one before.

"Ladies and 'gemalman', boys and girls welcome to whatever we are doing!

I love my littlest niece!

I had to steal this picture from my sister because I adore my curly dark haired, chubby little niece. She is just too precious and none of us wanted to let her go home.

Cute cousins!

This is one I forgot to post of earlier this summer in July. Grif and his cousin Joshua meeting for the first time since Joshua lives so far away. They are about a month apart and at first they really didn't want much to do with each other, just the same toys. By the end of the trip they were following each other around everywhere.

Uncle Charlie came to visit!

Teasing Uncle Charlie. It's a wonder he still comes to visit after the boys rough him up each time.

Grif Sharing

Grif was sharing his favorite ball with baby Madelyn. We tried talking him out of it but he was determined that he wanted her to play with it.
Madelyn wasn't too sure about it and let us know she did not want to play or be disturbed. She wasn't sleeping any longer. Thanks for sharing cousin!

Cousin Madelyn's Blessing Day

Jaxon adores his baby cousin Madelyn. He was afraid someone was going to come take her away from him in this picture. He can hold her for hours if we let him. He is a tad bit jealous his cousins Austin and Logan got a baby sister since he only has two stinky, but cute, little brothers
Jaron is reading stories with mommies cousin Katie who just started College at the University of Utah.
Jaxon and his adorable baby Maddy!

Three little fish!

Oliver Family Reunion

Grif just relaxing on the hill taking in all of the craziness from a little ways off.
All of the cute cousins! They had such a wonderful time together on our vacation.
Mom and all of her silly siblings. I am not sure how mom raised us all and survived so well.

If you can't figure out what is going on from the picture I'll explain: Our friendly little photo shoot "fell apart" literally. We were sitting on the fence to get some good shots and the delicate fence gave out. I am out of the picture lying on the ground laughing and crying because the log went straight down my calf for a good bruise and scrapes. Some how no matter where we go our outing ends up in a photo shoot.

The morning after Grandma's big party

Happy 88th Birthday Grandma!!

Grandma was so surprised by everyone and everything. She thought she was going to a new restaurant up the canyon. But then when she came up the stairs she realized everyone was there for her.
I was in a little bit of trouble since I didn't make her a cake for her real Birthday when we had her pseudo party. I didn't know she felt bad until I brought out the cake and she said she forgave me for not having one before.

Grandma was in a little bit of shock seeing friends from many years past and family from all over the country. It was so great that she was so surprised because we were just waiting for someone to blow it. It really helped having Aunty Yoch and Aunty Petch there staying with her because it was a lot of work hiding everyone else. Thank you everyone for all of your help! It was a wonderful evening!
